About Us

our mission

At Suzuki Strings of Austin, we believe that "every child can". Every child can learn to play the violin, viola, or cello. Every child can develop a sensitive ear for music and become fluent in music as a second language. Every child can experience personal triumph through mindfulness and perseverance. We strive to foster a nurturing and personalized learning environment for every child, supporting them becoming thoughtful and creatively expressive human beings.

our faculty

All of our teachers have registered training through the Suzuki Association of the Americas and have Masters degrees or beyond.

Our Team
What We Do

what we do

Our program is all inclusive, offering weekly private lessons, group classes, solo recitals, workshops, group performances, and community events. We as Suzuki Method teachers find all of these aspects of our program pivotal to the education and development of our students. As your children advance, we also offer elective classes, music reading, music theory, and small group ensemble opportunities.

Listening is the primary means through which we learn language and music. At Suzuki Strings of Austin, children internalize and audiate pieces through listening at home, and supplement their listening with daily practice guided by a parent. We find that this method of learning music works for every single child.

Every student learns at their own pace. At Suzuki Strings of Austin, instruction is personalized to fit each child’s individual needs. We are a cooperative and nurturing community of teachers, students, and families. We all share in the learning process together and support one another without competition.
